About the MCTS Certification
The MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) certifications enable professionals to focus on specific Microsoft technologies and to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and expertise in their specialized technologies. The exams certify that the successful candidate has important knowledge and skills necessary to consistently implement, build, troubleshoot, and debug a particular Microsoft technology. To obtain the MCTS a candidate must pass one or more of the following exams:
- TS: SQL Server 2005 (One Exam Required)
- 70–431: TS: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - Implementation and Maintenance
- TS: Windows Vista Configuration (One Exam Required)
- 70–620: TS: Windows Vista, Configuring
- TS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring (One Exam Required)
- 70-640: TS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring
- TS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring (One Exam Required)
- 70-642: TS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring
