Tony Wye is CCIE(R&S #4731) as well as CCSP, CCNP & Checkpoint CCSA and has been working in data networking since graduating in 1990. After being introduced to IP with 3Com gateways (static routes and 9.6k lines) he was introduced to Cisco kit in 1995 when he was sent off to a customer site one day and told to configure Appletalk over ISDN between New York and London (nice stuff). Tony previously worked as a Consultant for a Cisco Gold partner which gave him the opportunity to design and implement networks (usually Cisco) for customers all over the world. All this experience allowed him to pass the CCIE at his first attempt in 1999. More recently he has been concentrating on the security aspects of IP and in particular Firewalls, VPN's & IDS'. Tony currently works for a major US telecoms manufacturer out of the UK with his very understanding "put that router down and do the washing up" Wife.
