About the MCTS Certification Exam
The MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) certifications enable professionals to focus on specific Microsoft technologies and to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and expertise in their specialized technologies. The exams certify that the successful candidate has important knowledge and skills necessary to consistently implement, build, troubleshoot, and debug a particular Microsoft technology.

The new Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) credential enables professionals to highlight specific areas of expertise. It identifies the professional as an expert in database administration, database development, business intelligence, or support.
