I failed the 640-802 (composite) CCNA exam twice. But, I totally deserved what I got. Cisco doesn't give away CCNA certs! Studying theory is very important. But, becoming familiar with the IOS environment is crucial. I thought I could study my tail off and pass the test. I predictably crashed and burned on each of the simulator questions. Questions that today would make me giggle. Boson is your secret weapon. The first few labs they spoon feed you the EXACT syntax. But before long the lab gives you a chart of Routers/Switches/Hosts with corresponding IP addresses and masks and simply asks you to configure the environment. The light bulb came on around the fourth such lab. I became more efficient. I stopped wasting time. I executed only the necessary commands and stopped jumping around. My speed has continued to improve as I've honed my methodology using NetSim. Now when something doesn't work - I get excited - and my fingers know which 'show' commands to run. I passed the 640-822 on 7/22/2013 with an 874. But I knew I'd passed the entire time I sat for that exam. I wasn't freaked out. I credit three things: Boson's NetSim (lab sim), Boson's ExMax (exam sim) - for giving me confidence in the exam environment & Chris Bryant's Bryant Advantage at Udemy.com for teaching the fundamentals better than anyone else alive for $125! Boson is the wisest of investments. NetSim 9 is a quantum leap from NetSim8 (where the lab load times were lengthy). Pull the trigger today!

I used the simulator along with the CISCO Press textbooks. I passed the CCNA Routing and Switching exam with a score of 945.

I did take the ICND1 exam on 5/2 passing it with flying colors!
After everything was said and done I'd have to say both the NetSim, and ExamSim were invaluable!
