CCNP certification, which now places a greater focus on complex routing and switching and network troubleshooting for network engineers. This revision emphasizes the competencies that are needed to plan, implement, and troubleshoot the routed and switched networks of today and is designed to be more predictive of job readiness.
CCNP offers a career development path for Cisco
CCNA certified network engineers and a solid foundation for those who are interested in Cisco
CCIE certification.

 Ease and Simplesity

After using the NetSim for CCNP, I really recommend it for any CCNP or CCNA studying and exam preparing.
The UI easy to understand and simple in few steps I start my lab with good comands and with no errors.
In short words: Its awesome!! :)

Excellent test prep

The NetSim for CCNP 8.0 is an excellent tool for preparing for the CCNP exams. The simulators are top notch and provide a significant number of scenarios for you to practice with. I have also used the NetSim to build replicas of my production network for testing different configuration in a simulated lab environment prior to deploying in production. This allows for a significant amount of flexibility in testing configurations.
The only issue I have with NetSim is that in scenarios with a significant number of devices (15+) or self built maps with similar numbers I have to keep closing and re-opening the map and configurations. After running for 20-30 minutes or after making a large number of config changes, NetSim can't keep up and has to be reloaded to fix the problem (i.e. routes stop exchanging between EIGRP or BGP peers).

CCNP training

The BOSON NetSim is the only practical Cisco IOS Simulator I have found. The labs that are already available are an excellent way to practice what you have studied for the exams. I have found a few Cisco simulators for free but this is the only one that allows you to practice switching technologies. Although you have to pay for this product it is well worth it since you can continue to use it for all the CCNP Exams.

After I decided to go for CCNP R&S two years ago, I spent 200+ to purchase Boson NetSim for CCNP 8.0. When I used it longer, I realized that a lot of topic or features covered in the CCNP examination paper could not be performed. Even though I had followed some of the exercises that came with the software, they could not be completed due to either software bugs or limitations. I found it was wasting my time to study with this software.
In fact, I have filed a complain by email at that time. But no one from your company paid any attention to my complain, except telling me to keep updating my application from time to time.
At the end, I have given up using NETSIM and spent $280+ for nothing.
I felt so disappointed & frustrated.
