I used this in preparation for my 100-105 exam. It works, the walkthroughs and questions were appropriate for the content of the exam, and gaining some experience with the IOS (even if simulated) is crucial. It's very useful as a secondary tool to reinforce the topics that will be covered in your book or other material.
I encountered a few bugs, but nothing critical. Overall, it does exactly what is needed.

Both products appear to be helpful in the preparation for the certification test. Having the ability to simulate actual Cisco device configurations outside of a working environment is a great benefit.

I am really impressed with both products. Utilized the ExSim-Max when preparing for the CCNA-Security exam and it found that it simulated the actual test very well. The NetSim product is very easy to use.
Wonderful network sim.

Beats the pants off of packet tracer...and i actually like packet tracer..so that's saying something. i'm just disappointed Boson doesn't offer any free practice labs. After spending an arm and a leg on this sim, can you guys really justify 250+ dollars for practice labs. i don't mean to be ugly, just saying...what's the point of a sim, if no affordable practice manuals accompany the purchase. Anyway, all in all, good software.

To me, NetSim 10 seems to work A LOT better than Cisco Packet Tracer for us Netacad students. NetSim 10 scales well at all resolutions (unlike Cisco Packet Tracer). I have a 3k resolution screen on my laptop and you can hardly make out what Cisco Packet Tracer text says. However, NetSim 10 seems to be well-programmed and I can make out all the text as if this program is being loaded on a device with a lower resolution.
