4 stars I passed

I was able to pass the CCNA exam. But I found that this prep test environment wasn't completely comprehensive. For instance Like when they were talking about StackWise they didn’t call it that. They called it “chassis aggregation “ so I really had to think about what it was they were talking about. You only have enough time to answer each question as quickly as you can.

There was a test question that wasn’t in the Boson test prep software. It was early on in the test and I remember thinking “oh no if the whole test is like this I’m screwed.”
It was regarding pppoe connection negotiation. See this article to brush up on it. https://www.juniper.net/documentation/en_US/junos/topics/concept/pppoe-security-understanding.html

I don’t even remember talking about this in class.
It asked me to order the negotiation packets from start to finish. Pado padi padr and pads. So there’s a free one for ya. I didn’t have a clue and guessed.

Unlike the boson test prep there are 53 questions. But don’t let that fool you into thinking you have extra time. There are many multi stage questions that only count as 1 question. I didn’t count but it may have turned out to be 74 like the boson software.
Read each question twice. That’s what I did, some of them I read 3 or 4 times. Don’t speed read as you may skip over important info.

I ran out of time on the very last question and I thought for sure I failed the exam. I was so surprised that I passed. There were a lot of questions similar to the boson software so don’t let me scare you. A test preparation technique that I found helpful was to go through the boson custom exam in study mode. That’s the full 370 questions. Anytime I got a question wrong or I didn’t understand why the right answer was the right answer I made a flash card. I then would go over the flash cards again and again until I was perfect. That helped boost my confidence. This test will test your full knowledge of the course material so there’s no faking it. The way they ask the questions is to test if you know the concepts not just memorized answers.

Although you will need to memorize all of the HDRP Mac addresses. Not like boson teaches you by asking “which one of the HSRP protocols are represented by the MAC Address 0000.0C07.AC13?” The actual test just shows you 6 different Mac addresses and ask you which one is a valid HSRP MAC address?
I was just memorizing enough of the HSRP MAC Addresses to tell which one was went with what protocol like in the boson prep software. Like basically just the first few characters. Whereas the CCNA test requires a much stronger knowledge of the full HSRP MAC addresses.

All in all it's a good test prep software to use but you will need to REALLY KNOW everything in it. Take your time and don't just memorize the answers.

2 stars Good Practice Questions

These are good practice questions to start but don't depend on it I did the exam 200-125 12/07/17 and passed but very few questions or same type of questions came from Exsim. Better to study well and understand the subject for beter results. Also my advise for people do not have any practical experience or exposure to take ICND1 Exam and ICND2 Exam instead of one.

Purchased ExSIM a few days ago in March 2017. Tried to run test A, first question was about FRAME RELAY which I knew answer for anyway. However, it should have been removed since CCNA v3 as of Aug 2016 doesn't include such material.
It is questionable now if this ExSIM MAX was aligned with the current Cisco curriculum.

4 stars Excelent product

I got certified few days ago thanks to Boson products. The questions covered all the topics and were challenging. I think that it could be a better product if the questions were changed from time to time because with so much practice the user could fall in a comfortable zone and memorize the answers.

5 stars Excellent

I passed my 200-120 exam last friday with 890 points, I read the entire todd lammle book and then I tune myself up with this exam, it has like 7 different exams with over 400 questions, also it has a "Smart mode" that is very cool when you have exhausted most of the questions and really want questions that have not been correctly answered (both new and failed) because when you pick up random exam it will scramble questions from all exams.

I'm already recommending this to my colleagues who want to get certified.
